kids on motorcycles

I forgot my camera today so ...
this is a photo from the other day.. there are so many people on little motorcycles and many of them have 3 or 4 people, and a lot of kids. I am always shocked to see a whole family on one...

Ever since the first day at the clinic I have noticed everyone is kind of curious about my body...
they don't have many fat people here... they make comments like " we will make you sexy!" and " you are getting so slim!" many people there pat me on the stomach as a greeting...
and my nurses regularly pay extra attention to my inner thighs and stomach. Usually I would be embarrassed but it is so innocent and I am kind of flattered. Yesterday the Black Eyed Peas Boom Boom Boom was on when I got there...and when they were rythmically slapping some smelly stuff on me they, sang it while they did my stomach. I guess I got that boom boom boom.

We are starting a liver flush tomorrow... it is not the clinic's protocall but we all want to do it.
there is a lot of apple juice and epsom salts involved. So we were in search of organic apple juice, and we found a grocery store and restaurant that is the best so far... we had sushi for lunch! And I got Radiccio and tahini... I am so happy.
I just watched friends and cried when Rachel found out she was pregnant. I hope the liver flush doesn't magnify my feelings...I don't know if I can take it.
one other thing...Please feel free to invite anyone to read this blog, I am not a secret!
xxxooo

  1. Oh, you're the best kept secret Jakarta's ever had!
Good luck going into the liver cleanse. How long does that go for? Is your Mom doing treatments too? Where is Rohanna at this point?
Josephine says, "Dear Rozy, I love you so much that I will faint. I think that's it. Write that down. Love, Josephine"

    I love you too,
    Steph

  2. You got a Boom Boom Pow Stummy Massage!!? Leilani is probably jealous, as she LOVES a stummy massage.

I love how there's always music, smoke, and laughing. It basically sounds like you're partying to your health.

I wanna know what's happening with Rohanna too!? Do you guys hang a lot? Is it nice to have another person from home there?

I've been telling a lot of people about your blog... even Dr. J.

    That Josephine is too cute!

Love, Love, Love, and Boom, Boom, Boom,
    Moni

  4. Hey Roz - Your email cracked me up. I am glad your blog isn't a secret because it is really very powerful…. And if it was a secret I was breach in security. A couple of weeks ago, the second day of your blog actually, my neighbors were hosting a "reading party."
Everyone brings something to read on a specific theme (I think my neighbors might have been theater club people in high school). I should preface with my neighbors are great - I totally lucked out.
The theme of the reading party was "beginnings." I was just back in town, super busy with work, thinking about you, and not really in the groove to find something I wanted to read to a group of strangers. To be honest I just wanted to go home and hang out by myself - but you can't ditch your nextdoor neighbor's party because they know when you are really just hanging out at home... I was thinking about the reading party and trying to make a good decision- my mind was wondering… I remembered that book your dad wrote "Begin" and then I thought about your blog - mostly because it was so much on my mind. I figured I would read about the flight out - your trip to Jakrata because you were at a powerful beginning. It didn’t seem so out of left filed, especially in a group of creative people, till I arrived at the party with only my iPhone to read your blog from. I entered the kitchen and thought “Shit!” I should have brought back up text – a symbolic poem or some obtuse prose, I barely know these people.

The party started… drinks… snacks and then the readings. Someone read Isabel Allende, then someone from "Three Cups of Tea," great choices but both would have been totally disingenuous from me. Then it was my turn and I went for it – I ditched the plane travel/ airport entry and read outloud the blog entry from your first day of treatment. It was a less safe choice but it was what was on my mind –"Roz is getting healthy and this is how it is going to happen," I was thinking. The reading spurred real discussion (so did Allende and 3 Cups.) No one thought I was crazy and we had real conversation. On to the next person - she read from a book about keeping cows- a section on how to milk. Phew.

This turned into a long comment....... Keep up the positivity. Can't wait to see you again.
